Pradip Subramanian was taking part in a Muay Thai contest against YouTube personality and former Singapore Idol contestant Steven Lim on Saturday. He collapsed after losing the bout and was rushed to hospital where he died of cardiac arrest respiratory failure at 21:00 local time (13:00 GMT). Police said they were investigating the death.

Lewis Hamilton drove a masterful race to win the Singapore Grand Prix and take a stranglehold on the title as rival Sebastian Vettel crashed out. Hamilton, who started fifth after struggling in qualifying, was leading within four corners after Vettel collided with Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen and Red Bull's Max Verstappen at the start.

The US is considering closing its embassy in Cuba after diplomatic staff reported health problems which Washington blames on a "sonic attack". Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said a decision whether to shut to the mission in Havana was "under evaluation". More than 20 staff suffered conditions ranging from mild brain trauma and hearing loss to dizziness and nausea. US officials believe some kind of device was used to undermine their health. Cuba denies any involvement.

Following a meeting of environment ministers on Saturday, the EU climate commissioner, Miguel Arias Canete, said Trump officials had indicated the US would either stay in the 2015 accord or review its terms.

The 21-year-old man was arrested in Hounslow, west London, on Saturday night on suspicion of a terror offence and is in custody in south London. An 18-year-old man is also being held on suspicion of a terror offence over the Parsons Green explosion. Home Secretary Amber Rudd told the BBC that the second arrest suggests the attacker was not "a lone wolf". Speaking to the Andrew Marr Show, Ms Rudd said there was "no evidence" to suggest so-called Islamic State were behind the attack. "But as this unfolds and as we do our investigations, we will make sure we find out how he was radicalised if we can," she said.
